What is Intuition?
What is intuition?
Intuition means “inner sight” other meanings are “inner consciousness” or “inner knowledge,” a God given gift and we all have it. Intuition comes to us by an inner seeing, hearing, knowing, or feeling that comes over us that we can’t explain. Teaching a little girl about her intuition and to trust her intuition is a very valuable tool for her to have as she navigates through her life. Our intuition is like a muscle that needs to be worked out, in order for it to get stronger. The more you work it out, the stronger it becomes. But if you are a mother who did not learn about this amazing birthright gift that you have until later in your life, then here are some ways that you can help your daughter, or a special little girl in your life with hers.
How to Start?
The first thing you might want to do is just ask her when she is deciding about something, having to make a choice, how does she do that. How does she choose to make a choice about something in her daily life. Introduce her to the word intuition and talk about it, making the verbal connection for her to the word. Using your intuition means that you are paying attention to what you see, hear, feel, and know. She may be already in tuned but does not know what it is. So, begin by asking her questions about how she makes decisions.
Steps to Help With the Process
Begin by having her start tuning in to what is going on around her, and how she is feeling. Does she see, does she hear, does she feel, or does she know what is about to happen in a situation or a choice to go with? Have her make a game of it while she is in school. Effortless way in school, who is the teacher going to call on next for a question, what is the teacher going to say. Making predictions and trusting what she is receiving as an answer. Have her start to anticipate what is going to happen and how she knows it. How does she know it, how is she receiving the information can tell her how she receives her intuition guidance.
Activities to Help with Intuition
Here are three quick and fun activities to engage your daughter or that special little girl in your life.
1. Let her just daydream!
Her intuition and imagination originate in the same area of the brain, so when she can just space out and daydream, she will find that she is helping her brain get more comfortable and gather information about her surroundings.

2. Listen to music and write or draw pictures!
Free writing or free drawing while listening to calm relaxing music is another wonderful way to develop intuition. Free writing and free drawing means to not think about what your hand is doing to just let it flow from your body the words that need to come out, or the picture that she needs to. The words and images are inside you, and they just need to come out. Tell her not to think about what she is doing, but to just do it.

3. Spend time in nature!
Spending time in nature is a wonderful way to practice developing your intuition by paying attention to the sounds and sights that surround you.
Tune in and listen, pay attention to what animals may appear, and how she felt when they appeared. Tell her to watch how the animal is behaving, is it coming closer to her, can she see it, is the animal making sounds to her. Have her pay attention to all of it. This practice, like the other two, has her tune in to what is going on around her and how she feels about it. What is her intuition telling her about this experience.

Problem Solving
I would also like to add, if you are a mother who wants to help her daughter with developing her intuition, one of the best ways to do this is to let her problem solve on her own. As a mother I know that we are quick to jump in and to problem solve for our daughter. However, if she is to learn to trust herself, and trust what her intuition is guiding her to do, then you must let her be her own guide to answering her questions, and problem solving so that she can begin to trust herself. You are there to support her, as stated above ask her questions, but let her walk herself through the process.
